Dr. Shawna Hudson is a community-engaged, primary care researcher working with vulnerable populations at the intersections of community health, primary care and specialty care. Dr. Hudson is a medical sociologist and has published extensively on the role of primary care in long-term follow-up care for cancer survivors. Input from patients, clinicians and the community is at the heart of her work. Dr. Hudson is a full research member of the Rutgers Cancer Institute of New Jersey in the Cancer Prevention and Control Program where she previously served as the Director of Community Research and Acting Director of Community Outreach. She is a Health Equity advisor for Bristol Myers Squibb and Stand Up To Cancer®. Dr. Hudson currently serves as Director for the Community Engagement Core of the NJ Alliance for Clinical and Translational Science (NJ ACTS) – a Clinical and Translational Science Award (CTSA) consortium of Rutgers University, Princeton University and the New Jersey Institute of Technology.
