Biography

Jonathan Wetstein carries a long-standing commitment to equitable urban revitalization work. A graduate of Pennsylvania State University's Community and Economic Development Graduate Program, Jonathan's professional experience began in 2005 as a consultant in comprehensive land use planning and design. Jonathan entered the community and economic development field as an independent consultant in 2011. Since then, he has worked alongside non-profits on various food system development initiatives, including managing a cross-sectoral collaboration called Roots to Prevention (RTP). This city-wide effort is connecting Camden residents to healthy food vouchers as well as income opportunities in growing fresh produce. Both opportunities are supported by generous investments from the healthcare sector as well as philanthropic. As an adjunct professor, Jonathan also teaches a Sustainable Food Systems course at Temple and Rowan Universities.
