Jonathan Wetstein joined PPA in early 2024. He carries a long-standing commitment to equitable development work. A graduate of Pennsylvania State University’s Community and Economic Development Graduate Program, Jonathan's professional experience began in 2005 as a consultant in comprehensive land use planning and design. After 2011, Jonathan entered the field of community development as an independent consultant. During this time, he worked alongside non-profits on a variety of food system development initiatives as well as founded Roots to Prevention (RTP). Established in Camden, New Jersey, this cross sectoral collaboration brings together residents, nonprofit organizations, farmers, institutions, and government entities. The goal is to leverage each other's strengths and resources to create new economic and lifestyle opportunities for those most affected by limited access to healthy food. Jonathan also teaches a Sustainable Food Systems course at Temple University as an adjunct professor.
