Brian McGovern, MSW

Brian McGovern is presently the Chief Executive Director of the North Jersey Community Research Initiative (NJCRI) in Newark, NJ. Before being Chief Executive Director in April 2009, he served as Treatment, Prevention, and Support Service Director at NJCRI. He has also worked as a Special Project Administrator in Ambulatory Care Services for the University of Medicine & Dentistry of New Jersey (UMDNJ) and as the Associate Director for Queens Health Network, Queens, NY.

McGovern has over 34 years of experience providing and managing prevention, treatment, and education services around HIV/AIDS and Mental Health and community health care. He has a master’s in social work from Adelphi University, New York.
