Population Health

Population health refers to the health status and health outcomes within a group rather than considering one person's health at a time. It is an approach aimed at improving the health of an entire population. It is about improving people's physical and mental health outcomes and well-being within and across a defined local, regional, or national population while reducing health inequalities.

Diversity & Disparity

New Jersey is one of the nation's most diverse states; nearly a quarter of its residents are immigrants. While the state also ranks among the wealthiest, significant and persistent health disparities exist. We also know that other social factors impact health and well-being.
