Michelle S. Redd grew up in New Brunswick, NJ. She has been an educator in the New Brunswick Public School District for 12 years and is a Registered Dental Hygienist.

Ms. Redd is the Education Chairperson for the New Brunswick Area Branch of the NAACP and serves on several committees: NAACP NJSC Education Committee, Rutgers GSE Advisory Board for Teacher Preparation, NJ Advisory Committee for Federally Funded Programs, NJ Cooperative Education Association, and First Baptist Church of Lincoln Gardens Scholarship Committee. She also volunteers time for the NAACP ACT-SO (High School Enrichment) program for NJ and National teams and assists the Franklin Food Bank with their annual fundraiser.
